I’m so glad you’re here.
Have you ever looked to Heaven and breathed an emphatic, “Why, God?” I want you to know you’re not alone.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
Life is hard. And loving Jesus certainly doesn’t guarantee us a life free of suffering. In fact, we’re promised just the opposite: a life of persecution, struggle and spiritual warfare.
Thankfully, that’s not the whole story.
In case you’re wondering, God doesn’t cause pain in our lives. He is all good, all the time. But sometimes He allows pain, and He uses it to draw us near to Him and transform our hearts and lives.
Surrendering to God’s will is the key to unlocking our true potential as beloved children of the King. It’s not easy. But I promise, it will be worth it in the context of eternity.
FYI: If you’re looking for impressive credentials, you may be disappointed.
I’m not a pastor. I’m not a theologian. I’m definitely not a poster child for the modern Christian church or for women in ministry.
Truth be told, I’m a hot mess – but Jesus loves me anyway. And I want you to know how much He loves you, too.
You’re invited to join me on a brave discipleship journey – into a training ground on Taming Lions. I don’t have it all figured out yet – but I promise to share my life’s faith journey authentically as we go.
Let’s go, liontamers.
P.S. Here’s a traditional fancy-pants for speaking engagements and the like…
Brit Eaton is a Christian blogger, speaker, musician and lifelong liontamer.
Through her Taming Lions ministry, Brit offers insight on Christian discipleship and spiritual warfare to give hope to people with spiritual lions to tame.
Brit’s personal adventure with God caught attention when she adopted the lifestyle and mindset of Daniel during Lent 2014. During Brit’s original 40-day journey, God allowed life-altering circumstances that made her completely dependent on Him for the first time.
A motivated disciple who makes disciples, Brit encourages followers to be armed and ready for battle against the evil one and to join her in a fight for God’s Kingdom and His peace here on Earth today. In full transparency, Brit shares her greatest victories and deepest failures as she goes.
Brit’s professional background as a marketer, writer and college professor opened the door for her to foster a learning community of “liontamers” committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through writing, music and Christ-centered recovery programs.
Brit writes for anyone with spiritual lions to tame. She has a special heart for Christian women and encourages them to embrace their true identity in Christ and become strong and faithful spiritual leaders in their God-given right.
A marketing content strategist by day and writer/speaker/singer by night and weekend, Brit invites you on a brave journey of discovery – into a training ground on Taming Lions.
Taming Lions Ministry Vision
I believe we all face lions of injustice, temptation and pure evil in this world. Taming these spiritual lions requires discipline, obedience and self-control — and no matter how we try, we simply can’t do on our own. There is great freedom in surrendering to God’s will. He can do a much better job with our problems than we ever could.
I’m blessed to be a wife and mom to a perfectly imperfect little family.
After 11 years of marriage and 5 years of parenthood, Mike and I still don’t have it all figured out. But one thing is for sure — we’re united in our desire to love each other as a reflection of God’s love for us.
We give our love freely and without hesitation as an act of worship. We accept that love is sometimes more of a decision than a feeling, and that faithfulness to each other and to God is what brings about true happiness.
For me, being a mom is equal parts triumphant victory and head-scratching defeat. I’m not really a “mommy blogger” – but I’d be remiss if I didn’t share the greatest gift God ever gave us – my little Bella. She makes me want to live a life worth imitating and her little spit-fire positive attitude and childlike faith inspire me every day.
Mike, Bella and I are literally building a new life together — and putting God at the center of everything we do.
